A Weekend to Remember

We spent the whole summer in the house waiting for Nathan to be born, and since he is here, we needed to get away for a few days. The seven of us,the 5 Dowdys and becc'as parents, spent a long weekend in Zakopane. We had a great time.
Since there was no snow, Will and Liz made some of their own in the jacuzzi tub.

A little bit of Lizzy love for Daddy and Nathan

Dizzy Lizzy!

Will is taking the opportunity to capture his sister living a dream. . .spinning freely in the warm mountain air. Ok it's probably more like he thought it was funny she kept falling down.

You can't go to the mountains without making smores. The funny thing is that I started making the "s" sound at the beggining of the word like a "sh" sound, which is a typical Polish pronounciation. I'm being polanized!

Under the Giant

We stayed in a nice place with a great view. The mountain you see is called the Giant. From the right to left you see his brow, eye socket, nose, and then mouth. The legend says that if Poland is ever invaded by a foreign army, the giant will rise up and defend the country. Unfortunately, he has been asleep for thousands of years. I guess he is deaf, but really cool to look at.

Will is giving his Pappa a lesson on the air hockey table. This is of course after Will's dad gave him a lesson. Dad 7 - Will 3.

Becca's mom and dad have been with us for almost two weeks. We took a weekend trip to the mountains. It was really fun.

Everybody hug the baby!

I am one proud daddy!

Fashion Statement

Nathan is trying on what's cool for this Fall for the baby on the go. He loves his new Crocs look-a-likes and his super hip shades. Now if he could just get his mom to stop making him where those silly diapers with the bunnies. They are so not cool!

I just can't get enough of these 2!

Happy Birthday to You. . .Nathan

We celebrated Nathan's birthday. Will and Liz made baby size cupcakes. Unfortantely for Nathan, they ate them all before he got a chance to try one.

Out for a stroll

Nathan finally got to try out his new stroller. He has two very proud siblings who love to show him off.

Pappa time!

Is that a proud grandfather or what?

So Sweet

I love that clean baby smell!

How many family members does it take to wash a baby? One excited sister, one camera man big brother, one standing in the back of the bathroom with nothing to do dad, one very helpful grandmother, one gentle grandfather, and one perfect mommy.

Mmmmmm, mmmmmmm, good!

Will and Liz are helping mom out with lunch. Nathan loves to eat, sleep, look around, and be held in the loving arms of his family.

SueSue and Nathan

SueSue got to Poland just about the same time Nathan did. She thinks he looks a lot like Will did when he was a baby. Since Will looked just like Liz did when she was born, that means he looks like her. And since Will looks like Joe, that means he looks like Joe too. What a good looking boy.

Nathan is Here!

Nathan came at 3:45pm Wednesday the 14th of August. He was 55cm long and weighed 4.4 kilos. For those not metric savvy that's 22.5 inches and 9lbs 11oz. He and Becca are doing great! Thanks for the love from everyone.
