Cnronicles of Krakownia - Day 14 - Is that thing loaded?

These potatoes in Poland are hazardous to your health. This one exploded! I'm thankful it was in the oven and not on my plate.

Becca and Liz are cooking up something yummy. . . .apple cinnamon muffins. They are a great team.

Chronicles of Krakownia - Day 13 - 1000 Foot Krutch Concert

Will and Mauritza are blasting the roof off the place with a rockin rendition of Will's favorite band. . . .1000 Foot Krutch.

Just a phone call away

Will is talking to Grandma. I think they are talking about what he wants for Christmas.

Chronicles of Krakownia - Day 11 - He's got the whole world in His hands

Will is using googleearth to see the world. So far he has looked at both grandparents homes, friends in Africa, the cities our neighbors are from in Malaysia and Bangalor, and we think he found Santa's workshop at the North Pole.

I love this family!

Ring around the. . uh. . round thingy

They are trying to see who will get motion sickness first.

Motor boat, motor boat go real fast. . . .

Wait for Me!!!!!!!!!!!

That speck in the distance is Will and Liz is the one closest in the picture. These trails can be seen on googleearth, com.

Let's Ride!

This is the first time that we have really ever experienced the phenomena that people living outside of Texas call Fall. The weather has been great. So we went for a bike ride. . .about 4 miles worth!

Chronicles of Krakovnia - Day 10 - Homemade Biscuits...who needs bisquick?

Nothin' like the taste of home on a Saturday morning....Miss Caroline (the one who taught Bec to make homemade biscuits) should be proud.

We have HotWheels in Poland, too! BUT, no more 88-cent Wal-Mart specials. A regular car here will cost you at least $2 US. Will is trying to spend his allowance, too.
Liz is spending her weekly allowance on a new stuffed puppy dog! It was a hard choice, but she narrowed it down to 2. Could you say "no" to that face?

CHEEETOS!!!!!!!!

WOW! We found curly cheetos that actually taste like America's favorite
(even though they claim to be ketchup and cheese flavor).
Nothin' like an afterschool snack in the back of the station wagon...

Cronicles of Krakownia - Day 9 - Science Experiment

Will got into this mood after school to create an experiment that would explode if he mixed the right things together. Please don't tell Becca. Mom's don't usually ubderstand a boy's need to see things blow up.

Abrakadabra!

Liz is doing a magic trick for us. She has turned a stuffed dog into a stuffed rabbit. Then she turned it back into a dog again. She's terrific!

Tanie Ubranie - "Cheap Clothes"

After school we stopped by a local used clothes retailer. Liz got this lovely little coat for $3. This type of store is all over Krakow. We even found one that sells Old Navy and Gap.

Chronicles of Krakownia - Day 8 - Rock On

This is how Will started today. He's listening to Third Day. He wants to play guitar and write his own music. Liz wants to play the drums. Rock On Dude!

Just gimme my blue suade, I mean plastic shoes

We went to visit our friend in the hospital. You have to wear these lovelies if you want to get past the front door. The crazy thing is . . . you have to pay for them!

C.O.K. - Day 7 - I was born a coal miners daughter

People are getting ready for winter. They shovel the coal through that little window into their basement. During the winter season, all that coal covers everything inside our house with a fine layer of coaldust. It also gives the city a very distinct wintery smell.

Day - 6 - After school program

Liz uses Will's bed as an indoor jungle gym. Will is doing his famous wrestling move, it's almost impossible to escape from.

Day - 6 - The Longest Day

Hey all. For some reason I can't download pictures today from either computer. It's the perfect way to end a very long day. After spending 2.5 hours in a meeting for Will's school, all in Polish of course, I will never look at scrambbled eggs the same way again, becuase that's how my brain feels. Good nite.

Chronicles of Krakownia - A new name 4a new day

Here it is and it's much better than what I thought of for a name. Thanks to the Raines family in Cameron, Mo., USA. Love you guys!

Chronicles of Barnia - Day 5 - Sunday

Sorry, but I forgot to put the memory card into the camera, so we don't have pics for today. But I can tell you what we did. I (Joe) spoke to our gathering of friends this morning. After that we went to some hiking at one of our favorite national parks. Then we came home, wrestled, ate, and put the kids to bed, three times. Will couldn't sleep so he counted sheep, up to about 300. Becca and I watched the first season of ER. It's was so slow, but good.

Just a Skype call away

Will and Liz are talking with their cousin Joel in Mo., USA. Will is asking advice about how to get through a certain level of his Gameboy game, and Joel is ready to give all the secrets he's found through hours of diligent study(or long hours of play, but diligent study sounds better).

Oh what fun!

I'll give you three guesses about who is having the most fun?
Why is it that dad's make such good trampolines? (Nobody make any fat jokes!)

Chronicles of Barnia - Day 4 - The weekend

Mom and Dad are still asleep and we need to stay quiet so we are just watching some cartoons.

What's your vote?

Ok, so Chronicles of Barnia isn't the best name, I agree. Will thinks it shoud be Chronicles of Darnia(D from Dowdy) and Becca thinks Polarnia(Poland of course). What's your vote? I'll change the name next week if your votes say that I should!

Friday nite with friends

Will is doing some street performing. Unfortunately he didn't make enough money to pay for dinner.

Off to the races!

A favorite pastime of mine is racing the trams. Today I lost.

Super Bubble

Will loves American bubble gum. I don't know which is bigger, his eyes or the bubble.

Daddy Daycare

While the mom's are learning to cook chicken curry, I'm trying to build a castle for the princesses. Unfortunately boys aren't allowed. This is Ann(from India), Liz(from USA), and Kayla(from South Africa, Poland, and England).
